The summer transfer window continues to rumble now, now around two weeks old. We have already seen some big moves around the Scottish Premiership, including Rangers spending £6million on a goalkeeper this week.

The Gers are bidding to close the gap on Celtic, who are yet to make a signing so far this summer, getting off to a slow start to the window. But that will change sooner or later, and business should speed up across the division over the coming weeks as the dust from the World Cup begins to settle.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news from around the league.

Celtic linked with Devine

Celtic have been linked with a move for Tottenham midfielder Alfie Devine, who could be on the move. Devine spent last season on loan with Preston, and according to CelticShorts, Bhoys coaches actually travelled to Preston to watch him in action last season.

Strangely, Preston actually activated a £4.5million deal to sign Devine permanently at the end of his loan spell, but they are yet to formalise a deal, and there are claims it may not go through. Celtic and other clubs are reportedly keeping an eye on the situation in case an opportunity emerges.

Rangers to miss out on Reynolds

Rangers have been heavily linked with a move for Westerlo star Bryan Reynolds this summer, but it now looks as though they will miss out on a deal.

According to Voetbal Nieuws, French club Stade Rennais have now made their move with a €4.5m offer, and it's reported that the deal is almost finalised, with Westerlo expected to cash in to make a €1million profit three years after buying Reynolds. Rangers could make a last-ditch effort, but it may already be too late.

St Mirren snap up goalkeeper

St Mirren has wrapped up the signing of goalkeeper Jacob Chapman from EFL League One side Huddersfield Town. Chapman has joined on a two-year deal, although St Mirren also reserve the option to extend by a further year.

Speaking to stmirren.com, Jacob said: "I’m absolutely over the moon to be here. As soon as it came up, I knew it was the right move for me for a number of reasons. So yeah, very happy to be here and can't wait to just get going and meet all the lads properly and get to know everyone and just get cracking really."
