The win against Aberdeen gave Wilfried Nancy some rare breathing room in the Parkhead hot seat for the past few days. A bad result this weekend and the pressure will be right back on the French manager though, and understandably so. The fact of the matter is that he has won just one of his five games since arriving while losing four times.
Celtic's next game is against Livingston. The opposition is at the very bottom of the Premiership table. So, many might view this as a good opportunity for the Hoops to pick up three points.
It is not going to be that simple though. Both Hearts and Dundee United had entered their respective games against Nancy's Celtic in poor form, but ended up winning. The Hoops cannot afford to watch the nightmare scenario play out for a third time within the space of a few weeks.
They must deal with the challenge that will be posed by Livingston. It is an away game, which does add a bit more intrigue to the contest for sure. And the Scottish FA have made an announcement regarding this weekend's contest.
Scottish FA make Livingston vs Celtic announcement
The Scottish FA have announced the officials for the match between Livingston and Celtic. Matthew MacDermid will referee the contest. His two assistants on the day will be Frank Connor and Dougie Potter. Nick Walsh will be on VAR duty, and will be assisted by Graeme Leslie.
As we always like to say, the last thing that anybody would want is for the decisions from the officials to affect the result. Let's hope there is no controversy on the day.
It is an important game for both teams without a doubt. And let's hope that Celtic will be the ones coming out on top.
