'Sacked in the morning' - Celtic hero reacts to fan chants

It is safe to say that things are not going as the Celtic hero, the club's supporters or the owners would have expected.

Celtic fans were disappointed to see how things turned out for the Hoops in their Parkhead opener in the Europa League against SC Braga. The Portuguese side entered the game in shaky form and with their manager under pressure of potentially being sacked. Yet, they looked like the much better team against the Scottish champions in their own backyard.

The recent results and performances have led to question marks about the future of Brendan Rodgers at the club. That being said, he is not the only iconic Celtic manager struggling for results right now.

Ange Postecoglou returned to the game quickly after being sacked by Tottenham Hotspur. But the start to his run at Nottingham Forest has been a bit of a nightmare to say the very least.

Since becoming Nottingham Forest head coach, he has yet to guide the team to their first victory. In the process, he has become the club's first manager to be without a win in his first six attempts in 100 years. Not the kind of history the Australian would have been hoping to make.

The situation has gotten pretty bad, pretty quickly for Postecoglou. So much so that the Nottingham Forest fans were chanting "you’re getting sacked in the morning" during their 3-2 defeat at home against FC Midtjylland.

After the game, Postecoglou admitted that he had heard the chants. As reported by CeltsAreHere, he said:

"I heard it. They are fans, they want to see their team win and they are entitled to their opinion."

Postecoglou's time since leaving Celtic has proven to be a bit of a mixed bag. He did have a pretty positive debut campaign with Tottenham Hotspur and then guided them to the Europa League in his second season with them, their first trophy in 18 years. Things have gotten worse at Nottingham Forest.
