When the Rangers won 3-0 against Celtic at Ibrox earlier this year, their fans would have been hoping that that was the turning point of their season. It has been anything but that. The Ibrox club have remained just as inconsistent as ever and this weekend might very well have been their lowest point in a long time.

At Ibrox, the Rangers lost to Championship side, Queen's Park, and were knocked out of the Scottish Cup. The visitors had only one shot on target while James Tavernier missed a 97th-minute penalty.

How much longer will Philippe Clement get to turn things around? Since winning the League Cup early on in his time as Rangers manager, he has not gotten much right but has managed to avoid being sacked so far.

It looks like a lot of Rangers fans have given up though and want to see Clement be shown the exit door as soon as possible. But it might not be a straightforward decision for the club, who handed the Belgian a long-term contract extension just earlier this season.

Speaking after the game, Clement made it clear though that he is not planning to resign as Rangers manager. So, it will be interesting to see what the club decide to do next. The ball is in their court.

Celtic fans will have enjoyed this weekend. Not only did they get to see the Hoops win 5-0, but the Rangers were knocked out of the Scottish Cup as well, further boosting the chances of a treble.

There is not much for Celtic fans to think about the Rangers' defeat though. The Hoops have a huge game coming up as well. Perhaps their biggest in years when they welcome Bayern Munich to Parkhead in midweek in the Champions League knockout phase.
