Over the years, we have seen plenty of Celtic players depart Scotland to make a move down south to the Premier League, or even a few of the lower division English teams. Just this summer, Matt O'Riley made the move to Brighton & Hove Albion. While that was the most high-profile one, there were plenty of others who followed a similar path to England.

Of course, that is not expected to stop anytime soon. Especially as the financial gulf between Celtic and teams in the Premier League continues to widen.

It looks like English clubs have now set their sights on one of Celtic's best youngsters. He has been in terrific form for the club's youth and developmental sides and needs to get a fair shake in the senior team at some point in the future.

As reported by Football Insider, Wolves, Fulham, Ipswich Town, Sunderland and Burnley watched in-form Celtic striker Daniel Cummings on Wednesday. He scored his fifth goal in five UEFA Youth League games to seal a 1-0 win over Club Brugge.

Cummings has now scored 22 goals in 20 appearances this season. It goes without saying that that is elite level production in front of goal.

Naturally, there have been calls for him to be given a chance in the senior team. Rumours have suggested that the club could look to sign a youngster to fill the third striker role behind Kyogo and Adam Idah. Why not hand that job to Cummings?

Celtic have struggled to promote their youngsters to the senior team. The last one to make that jump and become a regular starter was Kieran Tierney. Someone like Cummings seems to have the talent to be the next. But he needs to get a proper chance.
