Celtic have said goodbye to quite a few players recently, whether it be permanently or on a temporary basis as they have only left on loan. This includes names like Kyogo Furuhashi, Alex Valle, Luis Palma, Stephen Welsh, Odin Thiago Holm and more. On the other hand, there are some whose departures did not go through in the winter.

One name that falls under that category is that of Daniel Cummings, the B Team standout whose contract is set to run out in the summer. West Ham United were believed to have put in multiple offers to sign him this winter but Celtic turned them down.

Cummings has not gotten a lot of chances at Celtic though. And with his contract running out, he is free to agree a pre-contract now before leaving in the summer.

West Ham United are believed to be leading the race to sign Cummings from Celtic. In fact, they have made a big promise to the youngster as they aim to bring him to London from Glasgow.

As reported by Hammers News, West Ham United have made a bold promise to Cummings. They have promised him that he will be part of the club’s first-team squad next season.

Of course, if Cummings does leave Celtic in order to join West Ham United, he would not be the first one making the journey from Scotland to England. That is a very familiar route that many have travelled before. Plenty who played for the Hoops.

When it comes to youngsters in recent years, the first name that comes to mind is that of Ben Doak. In the last summer transfer window, Rocco Vata and Daniel Kelly departed Parkhead for moves down south as well.
