Celtic need to strengthen their squad significantly, as they have struggling throughout the course of this campaign. The arrival of Brendan Rodgers has not had the intended effect. The Northern Irishman has seemed a bit lost in his second stint at Parkhead, as he continues to struggle to get the best out of a team that won the treble just last season.

Despite Celtic's need to make major additions, most of the recent rumours have been about exits. Liel Abada and Alexandro Bernabei are both believed to be on the verge of leaving. And it looks like one of the club's forwards could be gone in the summer as well.

The player in question is none other than Rocco Vata. The youngster has struggled for playing time under the management of Rodgers despite his excellent performances at B Team level.

There is no lack of clubs looking for his signature though. As reported by The Athletic, Watford have a firm interest in signing Vata from Celtic this summer. As a category 2 club in England, the compensation owed by the team down south would be around €280,000.

For a long time, Vata has been considered one of the best talents at Celtic. He made some appearances while Ange Postecoglou was manager as well.

But things have not progressed for him since the arrival of Rodgers as manager in the summer. He has only made a couple of appearances and it would not be hard to understand if he chose to leave.

Italy was believed to be Vata's most likely destination, if he did end up leaving Celtic. Now, it appeara that there are options in England as well. And one has to question why Rodgers has not handed more chances to a player so highly rated.
