Celtic appear to be gearing up for what is set to be a busy summer transfer window for the Scottish champions. There are a number players who could be on their way out of the club and will need to be replaced. And while most fans will be looking towards exciting transfers, some great talent might be available as free agents as well.

Tottenham Hotspur are a club who have released quite a few players at the end of the 2023/24 season. And interestingly, Celtic have been linked with a few of them in the past. Could they rekindle that interest now that they are set to be available as free agents?

There's plenty of talent, that is for sure. As reported by Tottenham Hotspur's official website, the club confirmed the departures of Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon and Japhet Tanganga following the conclusion of their contracts.

Celtic have been linked with three of those players in the not too distant past. Dier performed very well at Bayern Munich and might be out of the Hoops' reach as a result. Sessegnon and Tanganga could be options worth looking at though.

At one point in time, Sessegnon was one of the brightest talents in English football. Unfortunately for him, a long list of injuries have had a negative impact on his career.

On the other hand, Tanganga was a highly-rated centre-back too. But the chances have just never come for him at Tottenham Hotspur and now is time for a different chapter in his career, and hopefully, a more successful one.

It remains to be seen how things turn out for the duo as free agents. Could we end up seeing either or both of them lining up for Celtic come next season? Time shall tell.
