Ange Postecoglou's time as Celtic manager might be over but his fingerprints are still clearly visible on this team. Players like Kyogo, Matt O'Riley, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Greg Taylor, Alistair Johnston, Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Liel Abada and many others were signed during his run at Parkhead, and most of them are a key part of Brendan Rodgers' side as well.
Postecoglou did leave in the summer in order to join Tottenham Hotspur. Could he reunite with one of his Celtic favourites in London?
Jota also left Celtic in the summer in order to join Al-Ittihad in a £25 million move. His time there has not proven fruitful though as he is completely out of first-team plans, and an exit seems almost inevitable.
As reported by HITC, Jota is a player Tottenham Hotspur are actively pursuing. They are in contact about a possible deal.
Tottenham want to reunite Postecoglou with Celtic favourite
Jota is someone who has played the best football of his career under the management of Postecoglou. He was exceptional during his two years at Celtic and became the club's superstar from Portugal.
Other than that, Jota has never really succeeded at the senior level though. He could not make a successful jump from youth standout to first-team player at Benfica. His loan spell at Real Valladolid was a disappointment. And there is not much to say about how things have turned out for him at Al-Ittihad.
Of course, there was some speculation about a potential return to Celtic as well. But it looks like the club have other plans moving forward.
It remains to be seen if Jota does end up reuniting with Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur. If it did happen, it would make quite a few Celtic fans happy, even though neither might no longer be at Parkhead.
