Stoke City and West Brom in pole position to sign Celtic target
There has been a ton of positivity around Celtic lately, as the club won the recent Glasgow Derby to put themselves on the verge of winning a third-straight league title. The Hoops will take part in the Scottish Cup final later this season as well and are expected to have an edge over the Rangers, having not lost against them in ths campaign so far. Of course, all finals are one-off games so they must take their A-game to Hampden Park.
After that, the focus will shift towards the summer transfer window. While Celtic might finish this season with the league or a double, there is still a clear need to improve this squad.
They have been nowhere near their best, both in terms of performances and results. Hopefully, reinforcements will be brought in soon.
While most of the rumours surrounding Celtic have been about signing first-team ready players, they will be on the lookout for talented youngsters as well. But it looks like two Championship clubs are in pole position to sign one of their rumoured targets.
Stoke City and West Brom in pole position to sign Celtic target
As reported by TEAMtalk, Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion are leading the chase for Aiden McGinlay. Ipswich Town, Celtic and Norwich City have also been credited with an interest in the player.
McGinlay has been earning rave reviews for Queens Park’s Under-18 side and the B team this season. He is considered as one of the brightest prospects in Scottish football right now.
Unsurprisingly, Celtic seem to hold an interest in the player but unfortunately, it looks like they have fallen behind in the chase for his signature. It remains to be seen if they are able to make something happen with regards to a deal for McGinlay, but for now, England seems like his most likely destination.
