Celtic have been very slow out of the gates in the January transfer window. Fans had gotten used to seeing get deals done quickly in the Ange Postecoglou era. But with the Australian manager no longer at the club, it looks like things are back to where they were in the past. Hopefully, they will ultimately end up strengthening this month.

There has seemingly been some movement in that regard. The club might not be far away from making their first signing of the January transfer window, although it might be another 'project' player.

As tweeted by Anthony Joseph, Celtic have entered negotiations with Rapid Vienna for Nicolas Kuhn. It is understood that the Austrian club value the winger at a transfer fee just under £3 million.

Kuhn was one of the brightest talents in German football not too long ago. He was a standout for their youth international sides and spent time at clubs like Bayern Munich, Ajax and RB Leipzig.

Kuhn was never really able to make the jump to the senior game though. He did not make a single appearance for any of those three clubs.

He would end up leaving Bayern Munich for Rapid Vienna in the summer of 2022. And it is at the Austrian club that he has finally been able to show his quality at the senior level.

Kuhn is having a very good season right now. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has managed to score 3 goals and provide 7 assists in 22 appearances for Rapid Vienna in this campaign till now.

That seems to have caught the eye of Celtic. Now, despite Kuhn being 24 years of age, he has limited experience. So, any move for him would be a risky one and considering the club's recent scouting record, fans won't be very confident.
