Rangers suffer injury blow before facing Celtic at Ibrox
With the Premiership title race closer than it has ever been in recent memory, the fate of the title could be decided by the results of the remaining to Glasgow Derbies in the league. The first of them will be played at Ibrox on April 7, as Celtic will look to earn their third straight win against the Rangers this season.
Of course, Celtic have a lot of problems at the moment and it is the Rangers who have been the team in form in recent months. That has allowed them to overturn the significant lead that the Hoops had in the title race earlier on in the campaign.
What the Rangers have not been able to do though is get the better of Celtic when facing each other. On both occasions the two teams have met, the Hoops have come out on top and somewhat comfortably as well.
That being said, one would have to consider the Rangers as the favourites for the Glasgow Derby at Ibrox early in April. But Philippe Clement's side have been handed a fitness worry a couple of weeks before the game.
Rangers suffer injury blow before facing Celtic at Ibrox
One of the Rangers' starters seems to have picked up an injury while on international duty. As reported by the Daily Record, Ridvan Yilmaz had to be replaced by Mert Muldur in Turkey's game against Hungary, after pulling up while clutching his left thigh.
Yilmaz was starting the game for the Turkish national team but only lasted 27 minutes. He has been one of the Rangers' better performers lately, so the issue is sure to leave Clement sweating.
Of course, Celtic do not have the time to look towards the Rangers' problems. They have a ton of fitness issues of their own. The hope is that Callum McGregor and Reo Hatate will regain fitness before the Glasgow Derby.
