The summer transfer window is now over but the action does not stop if you are a Celtic fan. That is because the Hoops are set to welcome the Rangers to Parkhead this weekend in what will be the first Glasgow Derby of the season. It goes without saying that a lot will be riding on the result of this game, as is always the case.

Celtic have looked pretty strong this season so far. But you can never be complacent going into a Glasgow Derby. It is always a one-off game, with form going out of the window.

Rangers are coming off a 6-0 win as well. While they have had their stumbles this season, one cannot write them off already. That would be a mistake on the part of Celtic. And with some as experienced as Brendan Rodgers in the manager's seat, do not expect that to happen.

Celtic recently said goodbye to Matt O'Riley, who moved to Brighton & Hove Albion. He had been one of the club's best players for a while now and it will be interesting to see how the Hoops adjust without him. While Arne Engels has been brought in on a club-record deal, one would expect Paulo Bernardo to start in the Glasgow Derby. The Belgian midfielder must be given some time to settle in and this is not the fixture to experiment in.

It is safe to say that the Rangers have worries of their own going into the big match. As reported by Football Insider, Frank McAvennie said:

"I don’t know who they’re going to play now that Davies has gone because Balogun got injured.

“There might be something I don’t know but at the moment I’m thinking ‘Who are they gonna play?’

“I don’t know who but they’ll get the life frightened out of them by Kyogo and his pace, so whoever it is, they’ve got to be quick."

Let's see how the Rangers line up on the day. Also, one has to wonder whether Kyogo will even start this weekend.

Considering his record against the Rangers, one would hope to see him get the nod. Although, Adam Idah is surely a great cover option to have.
