Celtic are always on the lookout for the best Scottish talents. One of them is currently playing at Queen's Park. While he has seemingly caught the eye of the Hoops, they are not the only ones in the race to sign him. There are teams from down south lining up for his signature as well including Ipswich Town, who will be in the Premier League next season after having finished second in the Championship in this campaign.

Ipswich Town deserve immense credit for how well they have done. Last season, they were playing in League One. They did not win the English third division either, Plymouth Argyle did.

While Plymouth Argyle barely avoided relegation from the Championship this season, which has to be considered a success in itself, Ipswich Town finished second. That is an extraordinary feat to say the very least.

Now, Plymouth Argyle will need to take things to a whole new level as they get ready to enter the spectacle that is the Premier League. And they appear to have a rumoured Celtic transfer target in their sights.

As reported by the Daily Record, Aiden McGinlay is being tracked by Ipswich Town. Norwich City are also believed to have an interest in the player. Celtic have been linked with him as well.

McGinlay has been a standout for the under-18 side and the B team of Queen's Park since joining them. And that has seemingly been enough to draw the interest of clubs like Ipswich Town and Norwich City. One would have always expected Celtic to be in the race for a top Scottish talent.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for the youngster. But it looks like a move to a big club is on the cards for sure.
