Plenty of Celtic players have left this summer already without a single arrival taking place so far. Sead Haksabanovic and Rocco Vata have departed on a permanent basis while Marco Tilio is away on loan to Melbourne City FC once again. It remains to be seen who the Hoops end up bringing in to take their place in the squad.

One area Celtic are expected to strengthen this summer is striker. And it would be safe to say that most fans want to see the club sign Adam Idah on a permanent basis from Norwich City.

Idah spent the second half of last season on loan at Celtic. His spell was super successful and he ended it by scoring the winner against the Rangers in the final of the Scottish Cup.

Most are hoping that that is not his last contribution in a Celtic jersey. But with the club not having no buyout clause in the loan deal, the ball is in Norwich City's court.

There has been some confusion around Idah's situation. There have been suggestions that the new Norwich City manager wants to have a look at him in pre-season before making a decision on his future.

But as reported by the Daily Record, Idah is on the verge of a return to Celtic. Talks between the two clubs are now advanced and there has been significant progress made by the Hoops and a deal is close. The striker has made it clear to Norwich City that he wants to rejoin the Scottish champions this summer.

Thus, it looks like Celtic are closing in on getting a deal done to bring back Idah to Parkhead. It is believed that they have already made a transfer offer around £4 million although Norwich City want more than that to part ways with the Irish international striker.
