Odsonne Edouard linked with blockbuster Celtic return
A lot has been made about Adam Idah and his future in recent days, after a fantastic loan spell at Celtic. The Norwich City striker was brought in in the winter on a temporary basis until the end of the season and expectations were not high. But he scored 9 goals in the second half of the campaign despite being the cover striker behind Kyogo, and helped the Hoops to a double, with his last goal being the Scottish Cup winner against the Rangers at Hampden Park.
Naturally, Celtic fans want the club to sign Idah on a permanent basis. But on the other hand, rumours have linked another of the club's former players with a return to Parkhead.
That player is none other than Odsonne Edouard. The Frenchman left Celtic in the summer of 2021 in order to join Crystal Palace but his spell in the Premier League has not been a success.
Over his three seasons at Crystal Palace, Edouard has scored 21 goals in total. In three of his four seasons at Celtic, he managed more. Unsurprisingly, he is being linked with a move away from the London club this summer.
Odsonne Edouard linked with blockbuster Celtic return
Rumours have emerged on social media that there is interest in Edouard for a Celtic return. It could take a transfer fee in the region of £8 million.
Most Celtic fans would probably be open to the prospect of Edouard returning. One could argue that he is an even better player now, having experienced Premier League football for the past three seasons.
It remains to be seen how accurate the online rumours are though. But it would be no surprise if Crystal Palace were indeed looking to part ways with Edouard after failing to get the best out of him for the past three seasons.
