Most of the speculation around Celtic in recent weeks and months has been about potential incomings. The Hoops are expected to have a busy summer transfer window. On the other hand, there are also quite a few players who could be heading for the exit door. Some exits won't be an issue for Brendan Rodgers' side while others could be.

One problem Celtic have faced in recent years is their inability to promote youth standouts to the senior team. The last person to successfully make that jump and become a first-team regular was Kieran Tierney. It has been a while.

Rocco Vata is considered by many as the best youngster Celtic have in their ranks right now. He has been a standout for the B Team and yet, opportunities have been hard to come by. And it looks like the 19-year-old is likely to head for the exit this summer. There is certainly plenty of interest in his signature.

As reported by Football Insider, Nottingham Forest are readying a new offer for Vata. They have already had a transfer bid rejected for him by Celtic.

It is confusing why Vata has not been handed more chances at Celtic. He has certainly done well when afforded an opportunity and even scored last season.

At 19 years of age, he will be looking to break into the first-team picture and unfortunately, there does not seem to be a clear path to do that at Celtic Park. So, nobody should question his decision, if he ends up departing this summer.

The questions should be raised about the lack of a clear path into the first-team at Celtic. Things are clearly not working the way they are right now and there is need for change as soon as possible.
