Norwich City told to sign Celtic player in Adam Idah swap deal
Celtic were not very active in terms of incomings in the winter. They made one permanent signing, bringing in Nicolas Kuhn from Rapid Vienna. On the other hand, they filled their need for a third striker with a loan deal for Adam Idah of Norwich City until the end of the campaign, with no option to buy included.
Idah has managed to impress a lot of people with his performances since joining Celtic. The Republic of Ireland international already has five goals to his name for the Hoops and if he finishes the season strong, the club definitely have to consider signing him permanently.
Another Celtic player who has had a fantastic time since the winter, albeit out on loan, is Mikey Johnston. The winger joined West Bromwich Albion until the end of the campaign and has been superb for them. He already has scored six times for the Baggies and some of those goals have been world-class in quality.
Could that open the door for an interesting move in the future? Football League World has suggested that a potential ideal deal for all parties includes a swap between Idah and Johnston in the summer.

Considering how well Johnston has been doing for West Bromwich Albion, many would like to see him being given a proper chance at Celtic next season. To be very honest, he was never given a real run of games this time around to show what he is truly capable of.
On the other hand though, next summer might be the perfect opportunity for a Johnston exit. His transfer value will surely be at its peak considering how things are going at West Bromwich Albion for him.
Let's see how things play out. On paper, a swap deal involving Idah and Johnston makes sense now. Will it come next summer?
