The future of Adam Idah is a topic of discussion among Celtic fans right now. It is funny how quickly fortunes can change in football. When the Irishman was brought in on loan from Norwich City in the winter, there were not many supporters who were impressed by the move. After all, he did not have a good goalscoring record with the Canaries and what the Hoops needed at that point was a regular goalscorer after a shaky first half of the season.

Idah ended up proving a lot of people wrong during his short loan stint at Celtic. Not only did he score 9 goals despite not being a regular starter, but he also proved his mettle in the big games.

Idah scored a fantastic goal in the Glasgow Derby away at Ibrox. Then he went one step better, scoring a 90th minute winner against the Rangers in the Scottish Cup final.

Naturally, most Celtic fans want the club to bring back Idah by signing him on a permanent basis this summer. That might be easier said than done though.

As reported by Football Scotland, Norwich City are not yet entertaining a permanent exit at this moment. They are ready to play hardball with Celtic. Their plan for Idah is to have him back for pre-season. The striker will be given the chance to impress.

Norwich City have changed managers recently. And it looks like they want to have another look at Idah after his impressive loan spell with Celtic.

It remains to be seen how things work out for Idah. Previously, it was believed that a transfer fee north of £5 million would be enough to seal the deal. But now, it looks like there are more stumbling blocks.
