Neil Lennon wants to sign Celtic player for his new club
Neil Lennon has finally made a return to management, having been linked with a number of clubs and even national teams in recent years. The Northern Irishman has ultimately ended up at Rapid Bucharest and it looks like he is eyeing a reunion with one of his former players at Celtic, who signed an extension at Parkhead not too long ago.
Most of the rumours surrounding Celtic recently have been about potential signings. But there are some who could be headed for the exit door in the summer.
Could one of them end up in Romania? As reported by the Daily Record, reports in Romania have already named Stephen Welsh and Dundee United's Ross Graham as Lennon's first targets at Rapid Bucharest.
Welsh had made a bright start to the season and appeared to be in Brendan Rodgers' plans early on. But his constant injury problems and others moving ahead of him in the pecking order have meant that the centre-back has not featured much in this campaign.

Welsh has been highly regarded at Celtic for a long time. But unfortunately for the Scot, he has never really been a regular starter for the club when everybody has been fit and available.
Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales are clearly ahead of him in the pecking order at Celtic right now. There has been speculation about another defender potentially being signed this summer as well. Jake Clarke-Salter has been linked with a move to Glasgow quite a bit lately.
As a result, it might be time for Welsh to seek a new club. He needs to go to a club where he will be considered a regular starter from the off. Thus, does a reunion with Lennon make sense for him?
