Celtic might not have been very active when it comes to signing players this winter but quite a few have left the club already. Yosuke Ideguchi has been the only permanent exit of the month, joining Vissel Kobe after an impressive loan spell at Avispa Fukuoka. Adam Montgomery and Kwon Hyeok-kyu have left on temporary basis to Motherwell and St Mirren, respectively.

There are a few other players who could leave, on loan or permanently, between now and the end of the month. One of them is Yuki Kobayashi.

Kobayashi was signed last year, while Ange Postecoglou was manager of the club. He made some appearances but never really convinced last season. By the end of the campaign, Tomoki Iwata had moved ahead of him in the centre-back pecking order.

Following the arrival of Brendan Rodgers, Kobayashi has slipped further down the pecking order at Celtic. He has not made a single appearance this season so far and a January exit would make a ton of sense for the player.

As reported by the Daily Record, Real Salt Lake and FC Dallas are keen on a loan deal for Kobayashi. It is believed that Celtic would be open to the moves.

Kobayashi is not much of a contribution for Celtic right now. Thus, him leaving on loan would be the right step for both him and the club.

Perhaps he could find his feet while away on loan, like Ideguchi did. If that did happen, it would open up a lot more options. Maybe he could have a future in the Celtic first-team or leave the club permanently.

Of course, nothing has materialised yet. But do not be surprised if Kobayashi leaves Celtic this winter for either FC Dallas or Real Salt Lake.
