Micah Richards unhappy with what Celtic player did vs Rangers

Celtic and the Rangers played out a 3-3 draw in the third Glasgow Derby of the season, leaving the title race still finely balanced. Both sets of fans had reason to be disappointed. The Hoops could hold on despite being in the lead for the majority of the match. On the other hand, once again, the Ibrox team could not make the most of the home advantage despite being considered favourites.

For neutral fans, this game had everything though, including a couple of late goals. The last of which came in the 93rd minute, as Rabbi Matondo scored the equaliser for the Rangers.

Questions must be asked about Yang Hyun-jun's defending for that goal. He simply did not do enough and when Matondo got past him, the South Korean international just seemed to give up instead of trying to press him.

It was not Yang's finest moment in a Celtic shirt, to say the least. Micah Richards was not impressed with the defending either. As reported by HITC, the former Manchester City player said on The Rest is Football Podcast:

"You know, when Matondo got the ball, I am screaming, I am screaming at the defender to show him wide.

“I am coming back from London, watching it on SkyGo, and I am thinking, ‘The game is done here’. I was thinking, ‘What are you doing? You are showing him the wrong way’."

These are the areas of the game that youngsters like Yang need to improve in. It is not just about being more effective on the other end of the pitch.

What is done is done though. Now, it is time to dust ourselves off and look towards the future, with every game between now and the end of the season potentially a title decider.

Most eyes will be on the final Glasgow Derby of the season though, which is set to be played at Parkhead. One can expect the supporters to build one of the best atmospheres ever. Hopefully, the Hoops will deliver on that day and get the job done at home.
