Luis Palma makes decision in attempt to save Celtic career
It is remarkable how quickly things have changed for Luis Palma at Celtic. In the first half of last season, he was one of the club's best players, showing an ability to both score and assist consistently. His overall game needed improvement but that could be overlooked as long as he was delivering in front of goal.
Unfortunately, Palma's output dropped later on in the campaign and he lost his place in the starting XI consequently.
Even then, all things considered, it was a good debut campaign. He had 20 goal contributions from the wing, averaging one in less than 100 minutes. Pretty promising numbers.
Palma showed a ton of promise this preseason as well, even scoring against Manchester City. But in recent weeks, there has been a ton of talk about a potential exit in the future after he has struggled to get into the team at the start of the campaign. Initially, he was playing a role off the bench but now, even those appearances have become rare.

The good thing is that it looks like Palma wants to save his Celtic career, not push for an exit. And he has taken a few steps in hopes of making that happen.
As reported by El Heraldo, Palma has decided to take a break from social media and focus on recovering his level. He has also decided to stay away from the media spotlight and ignore what the media say or do not say about his future or present at Celtic.
There is no doubt about Palma's ability. We have seen that in the past, even at the Champions League. It remains to be seen whether he can produce that on a consistent basis or not. It will not be easy to get ahead of Daizen Maeda or Nicolas Kuhn.
