Celtic could do with another left-back at this point in time. Greg Taylor has not been able to match the performances that he put in under the management of Ange Postecoglou. On the other hand, Alexandro Bernabei is completely out of the first-team picture and it would make sense for both parties for him to depart this month, whether on loan or on a permanent basis.

Celtic are expected to strengthen in the January transfer window. Whether they sign a left-back or not remains to be seen.

One player who has been suggested as a potential signing for Celtic recently is Owen Beck. The Liverpool left-back spent the first half of the season on loan at Dundee FC but has now been recalled.

The 21-year-old was one of the standout performers for Dundee FC in the first half of the campaign. The club confirmed on their official website that Liverpool have recalled Beck and his loan has ended.

Of course, Liverpool's plans for Beck are not completely clear but it is very possible that he could get a chance to compete for a place in the first-team. They are light on options at left-back right now. Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas are both out injured at the moment.

The idea of them sending Beck out on a different loan spell cannot be ruled out either after an impressive campaign so far. What is also worth mentioning is that his current deal with Liverpool is set to run out in the summer of 2026. So, they are under no immediate pressure to part ways with him.

Someone like Beck could be a decent addition to this Celtic team. He has already proven himself in the Premiership. But is he someone who could walk into the starting XI ahead of Taylor?
