It will be very interesting to see what this Celtic squad looks like following the January transfer window. Both incomings and outgoings are expected at Parkhead following a disappointing start to the campaign under the management of Brendan Rodgers. This does not look like the unstoppable treble-winning side from last season. Instead, they have been uninspiring and seem to be out of ideas in most games.

Rodgers has openly admitted that his team need more quality. On the other hand, there are others who could head in the opposite direction.

The situation of Yosuke Ideguchi is a particularly interesting one. He spent a season out on loan at Avispa Fukuoka and was fantastic for them. So much so that it looks like there is plenty of interest in the Japanese midfielder.

It is not just Avispa Fukuoka who want him back in Japan. As reported by The Scottish Sun, according to reports in Japan, Vissel Kobe have now made their interest in Ideguchi official.

With Ideguchi's loan spell at Avispa Fukuoka over, Celtic now have a decision to make. Do they want to give him a chance in the first-team and hope that he replicates the form that he showed back in Japan? Or do they try to find him a new club now that there is a lot of interest in his signature?

Celtic certainly are in a tricky situation when it comes to Ideguchi. And there might not be a straightforward answer to the question. Either would be a risk considering his track record.

Let's just hope that the Hoops are able to strengthen their squad and get their season back on track. Because it does feel like they are on a downward slide at this point in time.
