Late night Kyogo to Manchester City rumour emerges
Kyogo Furuhashi joined Celtic in the summer of 2021 and quickly established himself as one of the faces of the team. Over his two seasons playing under the management of Ange Postecoglou, he scored 54 goals. In the process, he became one of the most popular players in the club's recent history.
Kyogo's goal numbers have dropped since Brendan Rodgers replaced Postecoglou as manager last summer. He looked in fantastic touch in pre-season though and hopefully, that is just a sign of things to come in this campaign.
Unfortunately, there is a possibility that he might no longer even be at the club by the time this transfer window comes to an end. A lot of Manchester City fan accounts on Twitter have been claiming today that the Premier League champions are interested in Kyogo.
It remains to be seen whether the rumour is accurate or not. One can only hope that Kyogo stays on at Manchester City.

Of course, Kyogo scored against Manchester City in pre-season. Pep Guardiola might have been liked what he saw from the Japanese forward on that day.
Manchester City have seen Julian Alvarez leave the club recently. On the other hand, they have injury problems in the forward areas as well, with Oscar Bobb and Savinho dealing with fitness problems.
So, it is not hard to see why the club might be interested in someone like Kyogo. He won't be a starter for Manchester City but could definitely thrive in a squad role.
As for Celtic, they should not even entertain the idea of parting ways with Kyogo. We know what we are getting from him. Even last season, he scored 19 goals.
The same cannot be said about Adam Idah. Yes, he was excellent during his loan spell but can he deliver season after season? We don't know yet.
