Jota makes Tottenham decision amid Celtic return rumours
Many fans feel that Celtic have been missing a spark up top this season. That might very well be due to Jota's departure in the summer transfer window to join Al-Ittihad in a £25 million transfer move. It has not really worked out for the Portuguese winger either, who has barely played since then and is expected to be on the move once again in January.
Jota is believed to be available on loan or for a transfer in January. He has been linked with a number of clubs including Celtic. A Parkhead return might be attractive to the youngster as that is where he has enjoyed his success at the senior level.
Another option that must be attractive though is the chance to reunite with Ange Postecoglou. It was under the Australian's management that Jota went from an underperforming former Benfica wonderkid to Celtic's superstar from Portugal.
Postecoglou is currently the Tottenham Hotspur manager and the club are in need of reinforcements in January due to a number of injury problems. Could Jota reunite with his former Celtic boss in London?
Jota makes Tottenham Hotspur decision amid Celtic return rumours
As reported by The Sun, Jota is keen to join Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur in January. But the Australian manager is still mulling over whether he would be a good fit for the Premier League.
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with plenty of Celtic players since Postecoglou joined them in the summer. Reo Hatate, Kyogo and Matt O'Riley are names that come to mind immediately. But they are yet to sign any of them.
Thus, one has to wonder whether Postecoglou wants to reunite with his former players at Tottenham Hotspur or is looking to make more high-profile signings now that he has the option to do that. Time shall tell.
