Celtic have finally completed their first signing of the January transfer window, bringing Nicolas Kuhn to the club from Rapid Vienna for a fee believed to be around £3 million. There does seem to be quite a bit of excitement around the German winger, who spent time at clubs like Bayern Munich, Ajax and RB Leipzig in the past.

Fans will be hoping that more additions are made over the course of the month. On the other hand, there are some who could be heading in the opposite direction and leave Celtic.

One of them is Rocco Vata. He has been a standout in the B Team level for Celtic but that has not earned him senior chances since the appointment of Brendan Rodgers.

Vata's current contract runs out at the end of the season and an extension looks pretty much an impossibility at this point in time. So, he is either heading out this month or in the summer.

There seems to be quite a bit of interest in the signature of Vata. And Italy looks like his most likely destination, once he leaves Celtic.

As reported by Football Insider, Sampdoria have joined Bologna and Como in the race to sign Vata. They have also registered their interest in a deal for the Republic of Ireland youth international.

Many Celtic fans are not happy with the idea of Vata leaving before ever getting a proper chance in the senior team. He made a few appearances while Ange Postecoglou was the manager of the club and none this season.

Celtic do not have the best record when it comes to promoting their youngsters to the senior team. And this will not help them, as they look set to lose one of their brightest talents again.
