Inter Milan eyeing move for £25 million Celtic player
Most of the speculation surrounding Celtic has been about potential additions in the upcoming summer transfer window. But at the same time, there are players who could be heading for the exit door once this season comes to an end. That is the just the reality of life if you support the club, it is pretty much a revolving door of talents at all times.
Once a player starts doing well, it does not take long for clubs from abroad to take notice. Unfortunately, Celtic cannot compete financially with teams from the top five European leagues and many others as well. So, some players inevitably end up leaving.
One player whose time at Celtic Park might be coming to an end soon is Matt O'Riley. Atletico Madrid tried to sign him in the winter but it did not materialise. But in the summer, an exit feels somewhat inevitable.
Atletico Madrid are not the only top European club with an eye on him either. As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan are observing O'Riley as well.
Inter Milan eyeing move for £25 million Celtic player
Inter Milan have been one of the best teams in Europe this season and it is not hard to see why playing for them might be attractive for a player like O'Riley. Several other clubs are rumoured to hold an interest in signing him as well though, so let's see how things play out.
O'Riley has shown in the past that he is ready to pass the chance to play for a big club if the right opportunity is present elsewhere. He did leave Fulham for MK Dons, who were in League One back then.
Other than Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, Manchester United are believed to have an interest as well. It could take a transfer fee north of £25 million to sign him in the summer window.
