Gustav Isaksen makes Lazio exit decision amid Celtic enquiry
Celtic have been linked with quite a few players in recent days with less than a week left in the summer transfer window. The Hoops have left themselves with a lot of work to do though. Not only do they need to find a replacement for Matt O'Riley, who has joined Brighton & Hove Albion, but they need to strengthen in several other positions as well.
Most Celtic fans would like to see the club sign another left-back, centre-back and a third striker. Fortunately, there seems to be some positive movement in that regard.
A season-long loan move for Alex Vella of FC Barcelona is believed to be close to completion. On the other hand, they seem to be interested in a winger currently playing in the Seria A although as it turns out, a move to Parkhead is unlikely this summer.
As tweeted by Anthony Joseph, Gustav Isaksen looks likely to stay. Celtic had made an enquiry for the player, but have not followed up their interest with an official offer. The Denmark international wants to remain at Lazio to compete for his place.

Isaksen has struggled to make his mark at Lazio since joining the Italian club. The 23-year-old was fantastic during his spell at FC Midtjylland though and is clearly a major talent.
Just like Mateusz Bogusz, Isaksen is also a very versatile player. He is capable of playing on both wings and as a forward if the situation calls for him, although he has played the majority of his football on the right flank.
Thus, it looks like versatility is something that Celtic are clearly focussing on as they look to make a few more additions before the summer transfer window closes. Unfortunately for the Hoops, a move for Isaksen does not seem to be on the cards at the moment.
