The situation between Celtic and the Green Brigade has become a distraction this season. The fan group have been absent from Parkhead in recent times and there have been calls for them to be brought back amid the club's disappointing run of form lately. Their absence has clearly had an effect on the home atmosphere.

Amidst all this, a rumour had started to do the rounds of the rumour mill earlier. The picture of an email went viral which appeared to suggest that the Green Brigade members had now had their season tickets permanently revoked.

Of course, such a decision would have created a lot of controversy. Especially with the team struggling on the pitch.

But as reported by The Celtic Star, they contacted Celtic about this rumour and the letter. The club have confirmed to them that this is a fake email.

Thus, it turns out that the season tickets of the members of the Green Brigade have not been permanently revoked. On the contrary, rumours are now emerging that the fan group will be back in attendance at Parkhead for this weekend's game against Livingston.

To be very honest, that would be a timely boost for Celtic. Brendan Rodgers' side need all the support that they can get at the moment, having dropped 8 points in their previous five league games. It would also come in time for the upcoming Glasgow Derby against the Rangers later this month, a very vital game in the title race.

At the same time, if the Green Brigade do indeed return to Parkhead, it would also increase the pressure on the players, the coaches and the board to improve results. No matter which way you look at it, the Hoops need to get better.
