Celtic are heading into the most important game of their season, as the Hoops get ready to travel to Ibrox to take on the Rangers next weekend. So far, the title race is still in the hands of Brendan Rodgers' side. But if they lose on April 7, that will no longer be the case. Of course, the odds are stacked against them and they will need to bring their A-game next Sunday, if they want to get a positive result against Philippe Clement's team.

One player who has been a bright light for Celtic in recent weeks is Nicolas Kuhn. The German winger had been struggling for minutes following his January move from Rapid Vienna.

Yang Hyun-jun's red card against Hearts and subsequent two-game suspension did hand Kuhn a way back into Rodgers' side. And it is safe to say that the German winger has made the most of that opportunity.

Kuhn has started the last three games, scoring once and assisting twice during that time. It remains to be seen whether he can do it on the big occasion though. Next Sunday is a great opportunity for him to prove that he can.

An unexpected face might be cheering on Celtic at Ibrox, despite having played for Rangers once upon a time. That is Christian Nerlinger, who is Kuhn's agent. As reported by The Herald, the German winger said:

"I am looking forward to the game against Rangers a lot.

“I have heard a lot about it. With my manager [agent, Nerlinger], he played for Rangers. Before I came here, he told me a lot about the match and how important it is to the people. I am looking forward to it.

“There haven’t been any jokes yet [with Nerlinger] – but I think he’s a Celtic fan now! He played a big part in me signing for Celtic. He told me a lot about the club and how great it is."

It does not take long for perceptions to change in football. Not too long ago, Kuhn was being considered as another transfer mistake from Celtic.

If he helps them to a win at Ibrox, he will instead be hailed as one of Celtic's best signings in a while. On the other hand, if he fails to deliver, it will not take for the opposite to happen.
