Former Celtic coach announced as new Birmingham City manager
Celtic have been home to some top managers in recent years, as well as those for whom things have not worked out after leaving Parkhead. Now, one coach who has a history with both Brendan Rodgers and Ange Postecoglou, has landed his first job as manager, as he will be taking the Birmingham City hot seat.
Birmingham City are not in a good situation right now. The club were relegated to League One after finishing the 23/24 season in 22nd position in the English Championship.
Now, it is Chris Davies who has been handed the Birmingham City managerial post and it remains to be seen whether he can guide them back to the Championship. Of course, he previously spent time in a coaching role at Celtic during Rodgers' first stint at Parkhead.
As reported by Birmingham City's official website, the club can confirm the appointment of Davies as Men’s First Team Manager. He has signed a four-year contract and joins with immediate effect from Tottenham Hotspur.

Davies spent several years working with Rodgers. He was with the Northern Irishman at Swansea City, Liverpool, Celtic and Leicester City. He also worked with Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur last season.
Thus, Davies has worked with a couple of brilliant managers. Now, it remains to be seen whether he can translate that into his own work as a manager. We can only wish him the best of luck and hope that he has a successful stint at Birmingham CIty.
Celtic will ring in the changes this summer themselves but most of them are expected to be on the pitch. The club are coming off of winning a Premiership and Scottish Cup double, and yet the general feeling is that they have a lot of room for improvement.
