Dimitar Berbatov shares why Celtic fans give him goosebumps
Legends from Celtic and Manchester United took on each other this weekend at Old Trafford. Wayne Roooney finding the back of the net got a lot of headlines but the Hoops were the ones who came out on top at the end of the day. Of course, the game was not about the result but instead for a good cause.
It was good to see so many familiar faces back on the pitch, from both sides. One of them was Dimitar Berbatov.
Through the course of his career, Berbatov played for clubs like Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayer Leverkusen, AS Monaco and more. He is one of the greatest Bulgarian players in the history of the game.
Berbatov had some high praise for the Hoops supporters as well. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, he said when speaking to to Celtic TV this weekend:
"I had good games against Celtic. I scored a couple of goals. Ask any player about their impression of playing at Celtic – I mean the atmosphere, the fans, I mean it’s crazy, man. It’s unbelievable. You get goosebumps everywhere.
“It’s great because this is what you want from your fans. To support you from good times to bad times, to be there for you. The Celtic fans, probably if you ask anyone, if you see a Celtic game the fans are there for them. It’s great."

It is safe to say that Celtic fans will be happy to see that someone like Berbatov holds the club and the supporters in such high esteem. It is always good to know that they enjoyed their experience playing against the Hoops so much.
Berbatov is arguably one of the most underrated players in Premier League history. He was absolutely world-class in his prime but only spent a few of those years at Manchester United. If he had gotten to Old Trafford a bit earlier in his career, he will have had an even bigger legacy than he does today.
These legends games are always a fun watch. Of course, it is not because of the quality of football on show. All of these players are past their prime. But even then, so many memories are associated with what they achieved on the pitch and a stroll down memory lane is always welcome.
