Celtic need to bring in reinforcements in quite a few positions across the pitch in upcoming transfer windows. While a move does not seem likely this January, sooner or later, the Hoops will need to add another goalkeeper to their ranks. Joe Hart's time at Parkhead is expected to come to an end soon. He will turn 37 years of age in April and is in the final six months of his current deal as well.

Of course, one cannot completely rule out the possibility of Hart being offered an extension. But this might be the right time to part ways and bring in a long-term replacement between the posts.

Celtic have been linked with quite a few high-profile goalkeepers in that regard. Caoimhin Kelleher has been doing the rounds of the rumour mill lately. But one cannot forget the links with Andriy Lunin of Real Madrid either.

Lunin has been performing at a very high level for Real Madrid lately though and seems to have moved ahead of Kepa Arizzabalaga in the goalkeeper pecking order. Of course, that has drawn the interest of teams around Europe and made a move to Celtic seem unlikely.

As reported by Todofichajes, Chelsea have set their eyes on Lunin. The Blues are willing to part with Kepa to add him.

Lunin has been a standout performer for Real Madrid in recent times and might very well be the first-choice goalkeeper right now. But when Thibaut Courtois returns from injury, he is expected to take his place back in the starting XI.

So, it is very possible that Lunin could still want to leave in the summer. But he is expected to have a lot of options following this good run of form and that has made things a lot more difficult for Celtic.
