Celtic need to strengthen in a number of positions in this January transfer window. Most supporters would probably want the club to bring in players at left-back, in goal and up top. But the Hoops continue to be linked with wingers, as it looks like Brendan Rodgers' side are aiming to strengthen on the flanks.

That would be an interesting step to take for sure. Simply because they seem to have quite a few quality options on the wings, with the recent returns of Daizen Maeda and Liel Abada.

Luis Palma is a player who has divided the opinion of the fans. And while his overall play definitely needs improving, it is hard against his 16 goal contributions already this season, one every 85 minutes. Exceptional effectiveness for a winger.

Yet, it looks like a German winger is drawing the attention of Celtic. Someone who has spent time at clubs like Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Ajax, but did not make a senior appearance for any of them.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Celtic are eyeing a move for Rapid Vienna winger Nicolas Kuhn in January. The German has emerged on the Hoops’ radar and they have been keeping an eye on him this season.

Kuhn was one of the biggest talents in German football while coming up through the ranks. He even appeared for their youth international teams and his record at those levels was great.

Unfortunately, Kuhn did not have as much success in the senior game. At 24 years of age, he does seem to be finding his feet though and has been putting up some decent numbers for Rapid Vienna. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 3 goals and provided 7 assists in 22 appearances this season.
