Celtic vs St Johnstone preview: Prediction, team news, lineups & how to watch
By Kian Long
Celtic return to Premiership action this weekend, after their minor break to due Scottish Cup action. It is a great opportunity to pick up three points as the Hoops host St Johnstone, who are 9th in the league right now. There is never an easy game at the business end of the season but Brendan Rodgers must have confidence in keeping up the pressure on the Rangers before the Glasgow Derby.

Celtic team news
For Celtic, one of the main issues is to work around the suspension of Hyun-Jun Yang. This will be the final match of the suspension he picked up against Hearts, after being sent off in the club's last Premiership match.
Maik Nawrocki remains injured and he is not the only one. Reo Hatate will not be fit for this match. Hatate is more likely to return after the international break.
The same is believed to be the case for both Luis Palma and Callum McGregor. Nicolas Kuhn also appeared to struggle before being subbed off against Livingston although it is not thought to be a serious issue.
There is some good news on the injury front. It looks like Cameron Carter-Vickers' issue is not as serious as feared and he could be in contention to play this weekend.
St Johnstone team news
Drey Wright has been missing for the visiting team since October, but Courier has claimed that the winger could make his return before the Premiership split. It's unlikely he will play at Celtic Park, but still great news for the visitors.

Celtic vs St Johnstone prediction
As mentioned, there is never an easy game in the Premiership. However, Celtic need to be confident going into the game. The Hoops have a remarkable record against St Johnstone. The last time they lost against them was in 2016, before Rodgers' first spell. So, we predict this game end Celtic 2-0 St Johnstone.
