CM - Reo Hatate. One of the players operating in the middle of the park will be Hatate. Since returning from his injury spell, he has been in great form for Celtic and has greatly improved this team's balance in midfield. Given that the Japanese international last signed a contract extension at the start of the 2023/24 season, one would expect him to remain at the club for the foreseeable future, especially after his injury-filled season.

CM - Matt O'Riley. O'Riley is a crucial member of the Hoops squad and has been their best player this season. He has 30 goal contributions to his name in the 2023/24 campaign, a superb return from the 23-year-old Denmark international. With clubs like Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Manchester United and more believed to be interested, his future could lie elsewhere. But until that officially happens, he is a Celtic player.

CM - Callum McGregor. Needless to say, McGregor will continue to start for Celtic next season. He has come up through the ranks at the club to become the captain. When he is fit, he is one of the first names on the team sheet for Rodgers and this will continue to be the case in the 2024/25 season, regardless of new signings. He is the one who makes them tick in the middle of the park and often does not get enough credit for what he brings to this team.
