RB - Alistair Johnston. Johnston has been the mainstay at right-back for Celtic this season, with the Canadian international making an impressive 37 appearances so far, scoring once and providing six assists. He has had his fitness issues, hence why he hasn't started every possible game. Still, a fantastic return from the full-back who will surely continue to be a starter next season.

CB - Liam Scales. Only Joe Hart has made more Premiership starts for Celtic than Scales this season. The Irish international is getting some great experience behind him, and at 25 years of age, should be heading for his prime now. He is clearly someone who is in Brendan Rodgers' plans and unless a top-quality centre-back is signed in the summer, expect him to retain his place in the starting XI.

CB - Cameron Carter-Vickers. As a Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate, Cameron Carter-Vickers will have to forget about his former loyalties, considering Kieran Tierney's time with Arsenal. The former North London rivals could form a force to be reckoned with at the back for the Glasgow giants.

LB - Kieran Tierney. Tierney can also play as a centre-back but Rodgers needs no reminding of his versatility. The Scotsman would become the best left-back in the Scottish Premiership by a mile if he were to return to Celtic, much like he was before he joined Arsenal. If this is the decision made by the board, fans will have little to complain about.
