It looks like a few players could be heading out of Celtic in the near future, even though the call of the hour is to bring in quality players. Of course, we are all aware of the situation of Liel Abada and his exit is starting to feel inevitable at this point, after he has missed a few games lately due to not being in the right frame of mind to play. But the winger is not the only one who could be leaving soon.

There are other players at Celtic who are not playing much football at the moment. So, in their case, leaving seems to be the best possible option.

Yuki Kobayashi is someone who falls under that category. The Japanese centre-back was signed during Ange Postecoglou's time at the club. He has not made a single competitive appearance since the appointment of Brendan Rodgers as manager though. Thus, an exit makes sense for both parties and it looked like something had been in the works but has fallen through.

As reported by Football Insider, Kobayashi’s loan move to HJK Helsinki has collapsed. The defender had flown out for talks with the Finnish club. But the move is currently off with the centre-back returning to training with his Celtic teammates.

Celtic have had problems at centre-back this season. But even on those occasions, Rodgers has not handed any chances to Kobayashi.

So, it is pretty clear that he is near the bottom of the centre-back pecking order at Celtic right now. Naturally, the centre-back must be keen to go somewhere to play regular football.

Celtic have sent players on loan to HJK Helsinki in the recent past. Conor Hazard had a great time there. But it looks like a move for Kobayashi is currently off the table.
