Celtic could find themselves looking for a new winger soon. That is because Luis Palma's future at the club seems to be up in the air. The Honduran winger lost his spot in the starting XI towards the end of last season after making a bright start to life in Glasgow. And he has not been able to win his place since.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Palma scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists for Celtic last season. That is an excellent return for a winger, who played less than 2000 minutes of football.

Yet, Palma now finds himself far down the pecking order at Celtic Park. Nicolas Kuhn and Daizen Maeda are in excellent form at the moment while James Forrest is consistently making positive contributions as well.

So, it would not be a surprise if Palma leaves the club in January. And if he does, could it lead to Celtic revisiting their interest in Michel-Ange Balikwisha?

Celtic told they can sign summer target for €6 million fee

It is safe to say that Celtic have had a decent bit of success in recent years when associated with people named Ange. Could they look to repeat the trick with Balikwisha?

It looks like it would take a transfer fee in the region of €6 million to sign Balikwisha. Royal Antwerp chief, Sven Jaecques, appears to have that figure in mind. As reported by the Daily Record, he said while speaking to HLN:

"He has a value of €6m (£5m) and a contract until 2026. He himself is keen on a transfer. I understand that for the time being that is also the player's choice, so we will see what happens. There is nothing on the table yet, but a lot of information is being gathered."

Balikwisha had an excellent 23/24 season for Royal Antwerp and was expected to leave the club in the summer as well. But fitness issues at the start of the campaign might have derailed those plans.

It is good to know that the player is keen on a move. And the transfer fee does not sound steep either, when he was rated at closer to €10 million in the summer.
