Celtic should target £5 million Norwich City player
Celtic need to sign a long-term goalkeeper in the near future. Many feel that Joe Hart needs to be replaced as the club's number one as soon as possible. Others feel that the Englishman has received a lot of undeserved criticism for his displays this season. No matter what one believes, the fact of the matter is that he will be turning 37 years of age soon and is also in the final six months of his contract.
Of course, the possibility of Hart being handed an extension cannot be ruled out completely. But one would expect Celtic to try and find a long-term successor to the Englishman instead.
They have been linked with Caoimhin Kelleher of Liverpool, Andriy Lunin of Real Madrid and a few other goalkeepers. A Norwich City goalkeeper could be a solid option for the Hoops to consider as well.
Angus Gunn has been a standout performer for Norwich City in recent years, since joining the club in 2021. He is also the Scotland number one right now.

Gunn might have been a standout performer for Norwich City, but he will be entering the final year of his contract with the club next summer. That might open a window of opportunity for the Hoops to try and sign the Scottish international.
Gunn turned 28 years of age recently. Thus, the goalkeeper should have a lot of top-level football left in the tank and is only entering his prime right now.
Norwich City are in contention for the Championship playoff spots. They sit eighth in the table right now. But if the club fail to win promotion, Celtic should definitely consider making a move for Gunn next summer.
It certainly would be a much easier move to pull off than signing Lunin from Real Madrid or Kelleher from Liverpool. Let's see what the future holds.
