Celtic have already signed a couple of players in the ongoing summer transfer window. Both additions have been made in goal, with Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo coming in. The Hoops are believed to be on the verge of making another signing as well although in this case, it looks set to be a familiar face in the form of Paulo Bernardo. He spent last season on loan at Parkhead and looks close to making a permanent switch this time around.

Another area where Celtic might need to make an addition is left-back. Greg Taylor is the only genuine option they have there and there is the need for competition.

Celtic were expected to sign a left-back last winter but did not end up doing so. But that seems to be an area of focus for them in this window and they have already entered talks to sign a Spaniard in that position.

As reported by BBC, Celtic are pushing to sign Hugo Bueno of Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan. The clubs are in talks over the move, but currently, there is no agreement in place.

Bueno is behind Rayan Ait-Nouri in the left-back pecking order at Wolves right now. According to stats from Transfermarkt, the Spaniard made 25 appearances last season but only played 830 minutes of football.

Bueno was rarely a feature in the starting XI for Wolves last season. And as a result, it is not hard to see why the 21-year-old could benefit from a move away.

Hopefully, Celtic have learned a few lessons from the Adam Idah saga and will look to have realistic buyout clauses included in any loan deals they make. The club were linked with Bueno in January as well but a move did not materialise that time around. Will it be a different story this summer?
