Celtic have a tough task on their hands this summer, finding a replacement for Joe Hart. The Englishman spent three seasons at Parkhead as the first-choice between the posts, winning seven trophies including three-straight league titles. It will not be easy replacing not only his quality on the pitch but also his leadership qualities and experience.

Most Celtic fans would view Caoimhin Kelleher as a dream signing this summer. But it looks like they have another high-profile goalkeeper on their radar, whose potential arrival would make the majority of the supporters happy.

The player we are talking about is Dominik Livakovic of Fenerbahce. The Croatian international is currently away at UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany, where he has not had the best tournament so far. But he was an absolute standout at the World Cup a couple of years back.

As reported by Football Insider, Celtic have tabled an informal offer worth £7.6 million to seal Livakovic's signature. It is believed that the reigning Premiership champions have held extensive talks over a deal as they look to secure a full agreement.

This is not the first time that Celtic have been linked with Livakovic. The 29-year-old appears to have been on their radar for a while now.

There was talk of a potential move for Livakovic before he ended up Fenerbahce. And with Hart retiring, vacating his starting spot in the process, there is once again speculation about Celtic trying to sign the Croatian international.

In many ways, Livakovic would be the perfect signing for Celtic. There is no doubt about his quality and at 29 years of age, he is entering his prime as a goalkeeper. He could be a long-term solution between the posts for the Hoops and also has some top-level experience as well.
