Most of the rumours surrounding Celtic in recent weeks has been about potential signings. Understandably so, as the club are in need of strengthening in a variety of positions. They need to sign a goalkeeper for sure with Joe Hart retiring, while there are other areas where reinforcements are needed in order to build up some competition for the first-team spots.

On the other hand, there are some who could be headed out of Celtic Park in the summer. Matt O'Riley is the one who has been most heavily linked with a Parkhead exit in recent months, as he has enjoyed the best season of his career by far.

One Celtic player who had a somewhat mediocre season by his skyhigh standards is Kyogo Furuhashi. And he is now being linked with a move back to Japan out of almost nowhere.

As tweeted by Marco Molla, Urawa Red Diamonds hope to sign Kyogo from Celtic this summer. The Japanese club have had a good relationship with the Hoops since last year.

Kyogo might not have had a great season but he still remains the first-choice striker for Celtic. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 19 goals and provided 5 assists in 50 appearances in the 23/24 season.

Of course, those numbers are significantly down from what he has achieved in the past at Celtic. But still, he is a very good striker, and one with a knack for coming up with big moments when the pressure is on.

Kyogo is a very popular figure amongst the fans as well. So, one would be hoping that he remains at the club for years to come and it would be a surprise to see him head back to Japan anytime soon unless he has gotten homesick.
