Celtic have had to deal with injury problems constantly this season and that is one of the key reasons why they have never really been able to find any rhythm. Brendan Rodgers has had to change his team regularly due to missing players and that has meant that there has been little to no continuity in the starting XI.

Cameron Carter-Vickers' return to action against Motherwell was great news for Celtic. But on the other hand, another centre-back has now headed for the sidelines.

In the game against Motherwell, Maik Nawrocki was one of the starting centre-backs for Celtic. He was brought off at the hour mark though and it looks like he has picked up a fitness issue.

As reported by the Daily Record, Nawrocki was unable to train on Monday and has been receiving intensive treatment. The leg issue is causing concern and he will miss the mid-week game against Dundee FC. It remains to be seen how many games he will end up missing.

Nawrocki has had an underwhelming time at Celtic since joining the club from Legia Warsaw in the summer for a transfer fee believed to be around €5 million. And it would be safe to say that there are question marks around his long-term future at Parkhead.

One can only hope that Carter-Vickers is able to remain fit for the foreseeable future. Otherwise, the Hoops might be in trouble heading into the business end of the season, with very little scope for error left.

The upcoming game against Dundee FC is vital. With the Rangers winning 5-0 against Hearts, Celtic need to put in a convincing performance as well and cannot allow Philippe Clement's team to have all the momentum on their side in the last few months of the season.
