Celtic got themselves a mood-lifting result in midweek, winning 4-1 against Hibernian. Brendan Rodgers' side have struggled for consistency all season and one would hope that this is the beginning of a good run of form for the Hoops. Of course, on far too many occasions, it has been one step forward and another back for them lately.

Up next for Celtic is a trip to Rugby Park to take on Kilmarnock. The Hoops have already lost there this season, as they were eliminated from the Scottish League Cup in the second round.

It goes without saying that Celtic would not want to see a repeat of that performance at the weekend. Especially with the title race starting to look a bit tight once again.

One regular starter might potentially not be available. As reported by Football Scotland, Joe Hart did not appear to be present as his teammates trained.

A lot of questions have been raised about Hart and his performances lately. But that does not change the fact that he has remained a regular starter for Rodgers' team.

It is unclear what the situation is. It is very possible that he could be available to face Kilmarnock at the weekend. If he is not, the Hoops will have to rely on either Scott Bain or Benjamin Siegrist. The former seems the more likely option to start if needed.

Of course, neither of two names would fill Celtic fans will confidence. They have played very little football in recent times. And the away trip to Kilmarnock is expected to be a tight contest with no scope for mistakes.

Let's see how things turn out for Celtic. Fans will be hoping for a good performance and all three points once again.
