Celtic's goalkeeping department is set to undergo plenty of changes this summer. With Joe Hart set to retire at the end of the campaign, the club will have to bring in a new number one. Replacing the Englishman will not be an easy task, considering how important he is to this team not only as a player but also as a leader.

Just replacing Hart might not be enough for Celtic either. Benjamin Siegrist's future at the club is uncertain as well. The Swissman has been linked with an exit in the previous two transfer windows and barely featured since his move to Parkhead in 2022.

Thus, Celtic might need to bring in a couple of goalkeepers this summer. And one Leicester City player might be available for a bargain transfer fee.

Brendan Rodgers will know Danny Ward well, having coached him at both Liverpool and Leicester City. And with the Wales international not making a single appearance for the Foxes this season, one would think that his time at the club is set to come to an end soon.

In 2018, Leicester City had signed Ward for a transfer fee believed to be around £12.5 million. But considering his place in the squad right now, the fact that there is just a year left on his deal and that he is 30 years of age, one would imagine that he would be available for a fraction of that figure.

Celtic fans would be left disappointed if Ward was brought in as the one to replace Hart. But he is certainly someone who could have a role in the squad and a player Rodgers knows what to expect from.

Of course, names of plenty of goalkeepers will be floated between now and the summer. Let's just hope Celtic sign the right ones.
