Celtic set to receive record-breaking transfer bid
There has been a ton of talk in recent days and weeks when it comes to Celtic making potential signings in the upcoming summer transfer window. But the club's fans cannot overlook the other side of the coin either. And that is the fact that there are a lot of important players who could be on their way out.
Most fans expect Matt O'Riley to be the one to head for the Parkhead exit door this summer. Clubs like Inter Milan, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and several others have been linked with him in recent days. So, such a move would be understandable.
But there is another Celtic superstar would seems to be on the transfer radar as well. In his case, the destination might not be as high-profile, if a move does end up materialising.
As reported by the Daily Mail (via Daily Record), Urawa Red Diamonds have placed Kyogo Furuhashi at the top of their list as they aim to build a team capable of winning the league. The Japanese club are willing to break the current J-League transfer record, which currently stands at £10 million, to seal a deal. They plan to test Celtic's "resolve" with an offer in the coming weeks.

Kyogo has been an integral part of the Celtic team since joining the club in the summer of 2021 from Vissel Kobe. His numbers might have dropped under the management of Brendan Rosgers but he still managed to score 19 goals last season.
Also, with the future of Adam Idah uncertain, Celtic should not entertain the idea of parting ways with Kyogo anytime soon. He is way too important to do that right now.
It remains to be seen how things play out over the coming weeks. But it would come as a surprise if Kyogo ended up back in Japan this summer.
