Things seem to be picking up for Celtic in the summer transfer window. They have completed three signings so far and if the rumours are accurate then a deal to bring back Adam Idah on a permanent basis from Norwich City is starting to feel quite likely. The club have been linked with a couple of Liverpool players, including Ben Doak, recently as well.

At the same time, there is a ton of activity on the other end as well. Bosun Lawal is believed to be on the verge of a move to Stoke City.

The constant speculation surrounding Matt O'Riley refuses to go away either. Celtic are not believed to be in a hurry to part ways with their star man but if the right offer comes in, they are expected to part ways with the Danish midfielder. That is just the way of life at Parkhead.

As tweeted by Matteo Moretto, Atalanta have raised the transfer bid for O'Riley and are offering Celtic €23 million. The Scottish club are asking for €28 million.

Atalanta are a club that has been trying to sign O'Riley all summer. Unfortunately for the Italian club, so far they have not been successful in making a transfer bid that meets Celtic's valuation. Let's see if that changes over the coming weeks.

As for Celtic, they are under no pressure. If the right offer comes in, then they will have a decision to make. Otherwise, it does not seem like O'Riley is pushing for a move away. He signed a long-term extension with the club not too long ago.

If O'Riley were to leave Celtic, the club will have to find a proper replacement. He is a tremendous player and another project signing would not be enough to fill such a void.
